Pre-Algebra Tutors

I used to dislike math, like a lot of people, but something changed. In high school, I found myself at the top of the math class the entire year. I was having fun solving equations and figuring out the answers to all the questions. Over the years my interest in math grew from an interest to something I loved. Now I see math in everything, and how valuable it is. It is a universal language, and one we should all be comfortable with. I specialize in pre-algebra as I am able to get people comfortable with the foundations of algebra so they are able to go onto algebra 1 and succeed. Like with many things, a solid foundation is all that is needed in math. I can help establish that foundation, and show that math really isn't so hard after all. Ideally, I'd like to walk away with the student both competent in the subject and prideful oaf their ability to understand the subject. This goes beyond simply teaching math, but trying to instill the value that it is all around us, and can be fun.

I am a 3rd year medical student at NRI Medical College in Guntur, India. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have received first class scores in medical anatomy and physiology. I have experience with tutoring. I also ran cross country for the 5th best high school team in the nation. I have experience with physical fitness.

I have a proven record of helping scholars improve their understanding of mathematics, problem-solving, and test scores. One technique that sets me apart from others is I can apply their studies to fun real life problems. For example, lesson=dividing fractions : real life problem=bending stress. If you hold a ruler at both ends and apply a light force to bend it then rotate the ruler 90 degrees and try to bend it again with the same force you will notice it is much harder. Why is that? Moment of Inertia! It is a variable in bending stress and fun lesson for dividing fractions. Lately, I volunteer at the middle school once a week during my lunch break. I've tutored mathematics off and on for the last 10 years. The majority of my experience was during college and ranged from basic math to partial differential equations.
