I have been doing special needs respite and tutoring via Care. com for the last 1. 5 years. I also had my own special needs child and volunteered to help in all her special day classes. I also planned and taught a mid-week children's program for over 100 children and volunteer teachers. I taught those that needed help in our adult pharmacy tech classes for returning Veterans. I also was the children's ministry coordinator at my church for several years. I have worked with children having PTSD, Down's Syndrome, Autism, non-verbal, OCD, etc. I'd love to discuss your child and your needs. I am a nonsmoker and love pets.

I am a mature adult with a lot of NANNY experience with children infants as well as toddlers and pre teens. Im also well educated and spent many years at Bunker Hill College receiving two degrees, I was also a writing tutor. I assisted students of all levels including students were english is their second language. I worked 3 days a week in the writing lab and assisted many students in order for them to gain better knowledge on how to write an effective paper. Many students were exchange students which made this position a bit more challenging. My last two NANNY positions were 3 years each with the families. I also have experience with special needs.

I have a Master's degree in Education with a Special Education emphasis. I was a teacher for 10 years before retiring to care for my own children. Now my youngest is 6 and I would like to use my experience to help families during the pandemic.

I have an extreme passion for working with individuals under the autism spectrum, as well as other individuals with special needs. I have over 8 years in the field with 1:1 instruction working with behavioral and academic skills. I have worked in a school and home setting with the use of applied behavioral analysis. I have experience in discrete trial training, positive behavioral support, picture exchange communication, functional analysis and treatment of severe problem behavior. I address and facilitate applied behavior analysis for students under the autism spectrum with positive behavioral support to help teach functional skills to help the students progressively learn rational logic as independent living and academic skills, at their own individual pace. My love for working with individuals with autism is my life! It all about motivation and helping the individual in a fun learning environment and positive setting! I also have experience with phonics, and all subjects up to 12th grade.

HI, I'm Stacey! By trade I'm a special education teacher that provides behavior therapy (ABA) for children with special needs. I have also provided care for typical children. I worked as a Feeding Therapist for 2 years at a children's hospital in Queens providing strategies to assist children who present eating difficulties of patients range in age from infants to teenagers. Prior to working at the children's hospital I was living in New Jersey as a special education teacher for 9+ years. I have strong organizational skills, education and psychology background, and the ability to work well with children of any age group. I possess strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and produce lots of high spirited interaction. Hi! I am a former special education teacher that now stays home with 3 children. I reside in the Plainfield, IL area. I have an 11-year-old, 5-year-old, and almost 3-year-old. I have people in my own family with special needs. I realize how lucky I am to have such a background and would love to share my expertise with families that need help. It seems more than ever a helping hand is needed to ease the stress of the economy with little things such as keeping youth busy, happy, active; working on social skills, assisting with homework help and organization, tutoring in specific skill areas, communication, carrying out behavior plans/IEP goals, even cleaning up and helping others with getting from point A to point B. I thought it would be a great time for me to get back to work. I do have 3 children, therefore, I would like to include them in my work day or work part-time in the later afternoons within 30 minutes of my home. I can be flexible and develop a contracted consistent plan.

My son is 22 now he has a form of autistic spectrum disorder and was diagnosed with with an intellectual delay. I have also worked with children with special needs when coaching league of dreams. I have completed my Bachelor's Degree in Applied Behavioral Science and Masters in Special Education. I am not applying for credential classes to begin teaching in schools. I think my life experience working with my son paired with my education will make me a great asset to those needing assistance during COVID. I am waiting on my background test/DMV to clear at this time through care
