Hello all- I have 22 years of experience of being an ICU Nurse and 10 years educating Nurses at great schools. I've privately tutored for NCLEX as well as high school and graduate prep exams with excellent results. Learning is about 3 things from my experience: 1) making it fun, 2) relating content to things you already know, and 3) organizing content. I'm passionate about healthcare, education, animals, the outdoors, the environment, cooking, and POTATO CHIPS! Hi there! I am a professional nursing tutor. I have taught at the university level for more than five years, and work in BSN, MSN, and DNP level courses. Childcare/Child tutoring: I have my Bachelor's degrees in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have worked many years as a teacher and in childcare positions. I have my clearances and BLS certification. I am child-centered and provide positive reinforcement. Nursing/Adult tutoring: I have tutored college students in education and psychology and have worked in collaborative groupings with other nursing students. I often explained difficult or unclear concepts to others to aid them in their learning. In addition, I tutored a nursing graduate prior to her successful completion of the NCLEX. I have also been in the role of preceptor - a type of nursing opportunity in which I educate new nurses onto the acute care nursing floor. In addition, I have used my teaching background and nursing knowledge to educate patients, families, and nursing students.

I am currently an RN at Southdale Hospital and I also run my own homecare business! I graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing 2 years ago and my currently finishing my second year of grad school at Johns Hopkins University. I have experience caring for children in their home along with tutoring from elementary all the way to graduate level education. First, I have worked in homecare for the past 7 years. I have worked with vents, trachs and all different types of children and families. I also have experience with all types of medication administration and activities of daily living. I'm a devoted Christian, so I'm not available Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, or Wednesday evenings. Other than that, I'm very flexible. I have 7 years of experience. I can help with Special Education, College courses in Practical Nursing, NCLEX test to receive LPN license, Mathematics, sciences, and college test prep such as the PSAT, SAT, and the ACT. Most of my experience is tutoring middle school, high school, and college age students. I am a graduate from Quinnipiac university who graduated with a bachelors degree in nursing. I have been a nurse for 3 and a half years, I am interested in tutoring for students studying for the NCLEX providing them with tips and strategies to pass the NCLEX successfully on the first try.
