Now a days teachers move so fast in classrooms to make sure they teach every thing a student needs before the end of the school year, and most teachers say they will take time to explain the subjects, but they really do not. Elementary school is the foundation of learning. In elementary school you learn all the basics, but since it is the very beginning most children have trouble grasping the concept. I however, did not have trouble. I was very bright in elementary school! Middle school is usually where things get complicated for most students because instead of just writing 3 sentences for a paragraph, you have to write 5 & then 7 in high school. Same with math. It just gets into more intense as you progress. I am very good in just about every subject, especially math & reading! Please feel free to contact me!

I am a senior at Skidmore College and have experience assisting special needs children with their course work. I am able to tutor in any subject from 1st to 8th grade. My specialties are English Literature and Spanish. I can also teach studying and time management techniques.

Throughout the last five years, I've served the community of East New York, Brooklyn as a licensed seventh-grade mathematics teacher. Hello! My name is Nick Taylor and I'm available to tutor students with mathematics and history, especially in Middle School. I'm a certified middle school teacher in Math and History (4th-9th grade), and just got my teaching license in the Spring of 2020. I've also worked in a childcare setting with schoolage students (Kindergarten to 4th Grade) for over a year, so I have ample experience working with younger students as well. Due to COVID-19, I've been unable to find my own classroom for this school year so I've instead opted to become a tutor to help students with remote learning and any other help they may need. I have very flexible availability and am excited to help any students who need it. I bring a positive, enthusiastic, and informed approach, and am motivated to help students succeed.

Hi! My name is Danielle and I taught Middle School Social Studies for three years. My main certification is in Social Studies. I am also certified in Math and English. Last year was my third year of teaching in which I held a full-year sub position teaching 8th Grade Social Studies in the Pennsbury School District. Due to the pandemic, I had to teach the last three months of the school year online. This upcoming school year is unpredictable. I would love to put my knowledge and expertise in education to good use this year despite the pandemic. I am sure that families will need help with online schooling in multiple capacities-whether that be providing support to keep students focused and on track, personalized help with content, additional enrichment to expand understanding or even just moral support for parents (who did not sign up to be teachers)! No two families are in the same boat with this pandemic, which is why I would love to assist in any way that I can!

I have taught in the middle and high school public school systems for the past 37 years in special education, but have tutored regular education students throughout my career. I especially love teaching math, but also teach ELA. I really enjoy teaching 1:1 and watching a student who has been struggling with learning experience success. I am retiring in June, 2020 so am available almost anytime.

I am a Houston native that has recently moved to Dallas to attend SMU. Currently, I am a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Biology and Public Health with a double minor in Spanish and Psychology in hopes of attending medical school. In addition to my math and science background, I am also an avid writer and published poet. Since 2015, I have worked as a part-time tutor for middle and high school science, English, reading, writing, and a middle school math tutor. Overall, I believe an interactive, hands-on approach to education fosters an effective and holistic learning experience. As a tutor, I hope to spread my curiosity and love of learning with others.
